Winter beaded sphere

Just as I promised yesterday, I come with another beaded sphere, made with the same pattern from this post. Only this time it's more cold, white and blue with a little bit of rose gold. Something for the winter... although I can't say I love winter really! I'm quite happy with the weather outside... at least it's not that cold. ;)

Even though this one wouldn't look bad on a small Christmas tree either, it is a pendant too. Nothing else you would expect, I assume. ;)

It measures 2,5 cm (1") wide in diameter. The pattern is available in my Etsy and Craftsy stores.

And this is the winter beaded sphere with its Christmas "friend":

Don't worry now, there will be no more beaded spheres for some time. Time to make another donut instead. ;)

Take care my friends! :)

Christmas beaded sphere

After a long while spent on knitting and crocheting I felt an urgent need to do some beading. I wasn't very keen on designing something completely new, so I returned to one of my old patterns instead - the beaded sphere from this post.

Used black Twin beads, silver-lined red Toho seed beads in size 11/o as well as dark gold/bronze Toho seed beads size 15/o. Thanks to the colours it looks a bit like a Christmas decoration to me. It won't hang on a Christmas tree though, it will be used as a pendant of course. As always. ;)

It measures 2,5 cm (1") wide in diameter. The pattern is available in my Etsy and Craftsy stores.

And I'll see you again soon with another sphere. :)

Dragonflies. Beaded beads and bracelets.

I know, I know, they don't really look like dragonflies. But if you take a look at the ornament made with SuperDuo beads, it does look like a row of tiny dragonflies... or is it just my crazy imagination? ;)

Anyway, a new beading pattern is ready and available in my Etsy and Craftsy stores, for both a beaded bead and a matching bracelet. They are made with CzechMate Tiles, SuperDuo and 11/o Toho beads. The pendant measures 2x2,5 cm (0,78x1"), and the bracelet is 2 cm (0,78") wide.

A bit time consuming, but still I have made more than one piece with each pattern. And I'm planning to make even more... ;)

For now though let me show you the set:

And both pieces separately:

Plus another beaded bead...

...and another bracelet. Actually, my favourite one! For this one I have used some magatama drops too.

Yep, it looks like I have finally started making something more than just pendants... and there will be more bracelets appearing on here soon. So until the next time. :)

Back to the life - with some new beading patterns of course ;)

So, here I am again - staying in bed was extremely boring, trust me - but at least I could do some other work, not exactly beading though, but related to beading. Two new tutorials for the patterns that have been already presented here, plus another one, for dodecahedral earrings. Yep I know, it's pretty amazing that I managed to make another pair of earrings instead of just these boring pendants. ;) Anyway I hope you'll like them - both the pendants and the earrings really. ;)

Okay, the first is the pattern for the dodecahedral earrings. Beaded beads made with 4mm wax pearls, 11/o seed beads and 2mm metal ball, measuring around 2,5cm (1") in the widest point - in fact they look a bit smaller than they are in reality, probably because they're not the perfect spheres.

And these earrings look like this:

And a close-up:

This tutorial is available here (Etsy) and here (Craftsy).

The second pattern I have made is for the netted beaded pendant, that you could see already in this post. But there are two more such pendants, that you can see below:

beaded pendant pattern

beaded pendant tutorial

The pendant, as you can see, is mostly made with 6mm wax pearls and 11/o seed beads. It measures around 4cm (1,57") in diameter. Quite easy and fast to make, and you can find the tutorial here and here. :)

And finally, the last pattern, for another beaded ball - or a beaded bead, whatever you wish. ;)
Small ornamental ball, not exceeding 2,5cm (1") in diameter, made with fire polished beads and 11/o & 15/o seed beads. Tiny, but quite eye-catching. Better for a pendant though than for the earrings in my humble opinion... but it can serve in any way you wish. ;)

The tutorial for this beaded bead is available here and here.

Now, if you excuse me, I'm going back to bed. Time to get some rest - but I'll see you all soon again. :)

And one more beaded ball... ;)

It will never end, I guess I'll keep making beaded balls no matter what. ;)

Another one that has been created recently is made with 6mm wax pearls, 3mm fire polished beads and Preciosa seed beads, all in candy pink colours. It is probably a colour that many people just hate, but for some reason I like working with it. It needs to be a certain range of pink shades though, and that ball represents all of them.

It measures 2,5cm (1") in diameter... and of course it has become just another beaded pendant... It couldn't be anything else, after all. ;)

Now I hope that tomorrow is going to be a bright day, because I need to take a couple of pictures if I still want to update this blog. ;)

Beaded ball and some wire-wrapping

So, as I promised yesterday, here I am with two more pendants. The first one is just another beaded ball, this time made with some SuperDuo beads, measuring around 2,7cm (1,06") in diameter... A simple one, I know, but it was fun to make at least. ;)

beaded ball

The other pendant is just a dark red glass cabochon, wrapped with some wire. It has been a long time since I've done anything with wire-wrapping... and it will be a very long time until I make it again, you can be sure. ;) Was even too lazy to make a wire bail... oh well, maybe some day it will be changed. Not today though, of that I am certain, and not tomorrow either. ;)

The pendant measures 3,2 x 3,7 cm (1,26 x 1,45") and this is how it looks like:

Now I should go back to beading.... so see you soon again. ;)

Tile starry ball

Another experiment that I have found a small success. ;) A ball made with two-hole tile beads as well as seed beads size 11 and 15... will it be boring if I say that it is my favourite pendant at the moment? I guess so, as I tend to say that about more or less every new pendant that I make. ;) Anyway, the ball measures 3cm (1,18") in diameter and this is how it looks like:

beaded sphere pendant

Also, the tutorial for the beaded cube from this post is already finished... so it should be introduced in the next post. So see you until then. :)

Beaded beads... and another tutorial. :)

Have finally made the decision which I wasn't sure in the last entry. No bracelets yet, but some beaded beads instead. ;)

So here I come with two beaded beads made of glass pearls and seed beads mostly. And of course now they work for me as pendants... it couldn't have been any different way really. ;)
The green beaded bead is around 4 cm ( 1,57") long and 2 cm (0.78") wide, the pink one measures around 2,5 cm (1") in diameter.

beaded bead

The third thing for today to show is a beaded ball (or a beaded bead too) - a pattern that has been already presented in this entry.  Now the tutorial for this kind of pendant has been finished and it is traditionally available on Craftsy and Etsy. It is very cheap, as always, so make sure to check it out. ;)

Now I have to go, but should be back tomorrow with those promised bracelets... they will be accompanied by another pendant, though. ;)

So see you soon again. :)

Guess what? More beaded balls! ;)

That almost becomes boring, don't you think? It's always either a donut or a beaded ball. Ah, damn, I just like making them too much, so hopefully you won't find it boring anyway. ;)

So we'll start with a black sphere... or maybe I should rather say that it's a round cube? ;)
Whatever it is, it consists of six bezelled crystal cabochons bezeled with Toho seed beads (opaque frosted jet size 11 and metallic nebula size 15)... well those cabochons actually used to be a part of my friend's t-shirt, only while visiting me she decided to get rid of them... and I *really* had to make a use of them, couldn't really let them be wasted, could I? ;) These cabochons have been connected altogether and are accompanied by montana blue 4mm bicone cystals. The pendant is around 28mm (1,10") wide in diameter. And here it is:

beaded ball pendant

beaded ball pendant

The second one used to be just a simple beaded ball without any embellishment. After a few years though it received some new look thanks to some Czech seed beads. ;) It is a little bit bigger than the previous one and measures 33mm (1,30") in diameter.

beaded ball

And finally the third one. A pattern that has been shown on here before... it is also the pattern that probably will be the next tutorial too. Czech seed beads plus 6mm wax pearls... 2,5 cm (1") in diameter. Quite heavy, despite being rather small.

beaded sphere pendant

And now, all of them together at once, so you can better see their size... there's also the earring from the last entry as you can see. ;)

beaded balls

For me however it's about time to get some sleep. ;) So good night and I'll see you soon again. :)

Crackle cabochons and beaded balls...

...not used for pendants this time, but some earrings instead. After making that many pendants it was about time to create some earrings really. They were made almost two weeks ago, only I haven't got the occassion to show them on here until now.

The first pair of earrings consists of 4mm wax pearls as well as Czech seed beads. The beaded balls are 22mm (0,9") wide in diameter, and despite looking heavy, they are quite light. The pattern has been designed for pendants with 6mm pearls, so it had to be modified to be more suitable for earrings.

beaded balls earrings

The two next pairs are just round cracle ceramic cabochons bezeled with Toho size 11, 15 and 8 seed beads. Both are 32mm (1,26") wide in diameter.

And finally the last one - simple dodecahedrons made from Czech seed beads. They're extremely light and measure around 2cm (0,79") in diameter.

Next time however there will be more pendants again. ;)

Beaded sphere - tutorial

So here I come with another beaded sphere - and another beading tutorial, a very detailed, step-by-step instruction. The pendant has been shown on here already - in this post. Now, if you follow the instruction, you can make one for yourself. ;)

The tutorial is available here on Craftsy and on Etsy.

And here's the pendant - in two different color versions.

Now a pendant like this can be yours too. ;)

Beaded spheres

As I promised in the last entry, two beaded spheres, pendants of course (can it be any different? ;) ). The first one is made from 4mm wax pearls, 3mm fire polished beads in two colours, Toho round seed beads size 11 and 15 and it measures 2,5 cm (1") in diameter. The other one consists of 4mm pearls, 3mm metal balls, Czech seed beads size 10, Toho beads size 11 and 15, as well as 3 mm magatama beads. It is slightly bigger than the first one and measures 3cm (1,18") in diameter. Both spheres are empty inside, so they are very light. There's nothing more to write, time to show them then. ;)

The first one:

And the second one:

Now I think I should make some more earrings, since there are quite a few pendants that have been made as of late. So see you some other day with some earrings hopefully. ;)

A simple beaded pendant...

Very simple, double-sided beaded pendant made from fire polished beads (6mm and 4mm), that is 4cm (1,57") wide in diameter. Despite being double sided it is also quite flat - only 1,3cm (0,39"). Not a very complicated pattern though, yet it doesn't look bad hanging on a long chain... One of my favourite ones to wear recently - at least until I make another one that I'll like better I suppose. ;)

beaded pendant

Also, have made a few simple beaded balls recently that work as earrings for me now. A whole bunch of them really, so colorful that they look like candy. Yummy! ;)

beaded balls

Next time there will be some more crocheting... and tatting. So don't forget to check the blog again soon! ;)

Ornamental beaded balls

Looks like I needed to rest a bit from the crocheting. So I managed to make four beaded pendants and two pairs of earrings just over one weekend instead. You can't see the earrings yet, since it's a present and a person who is supposed to get them can't see them before they reach her of course. But at least I have three out of four pendants (the last one needs a photo first ;) ) that I can show to you. ;)

The first one was an experiment with the Twin beads. Wanted to check how well they work for beaded balls. And looks like they really don't work too bad. They are accompanied by some wax pearls, and Toho beads in two sizes - 11 and 15 (Permanent Finish Galvanized Fairy Wings and Opaque Frosted Jet). With just some metal bail it works great as a beaded pendant. That ball is 2,5 cm (1") wide in diameter.

beaded sphere pendant

The tutorial for this pendant is available on Craftsy and Etsy.

Another pendant was in fact made a few years ago. Only it was just a simple beaded ball that I wasn't really satisfied with. Added some seed beads to that pattern, as well as ten tiny pink cabochons... didn't have the eleventh one so had to add some charm made of chain instead, to fill the last, bottom hole. And somebody has just commented that it looks like a shower... damn! ;P

beaded ball pendant

beaded pendant

The pendant is quite long, 9,5 cm (3,54") with the bail and the chains, while the ball is 3 cm (1,18") wide in diameter.

The last pendant is a little bit similar to the previous one, a bit smaller though (2,5 cm again), but it also consists of some Twin beads (the green one doesn't). They are the transparent ones (if you can see them on this poor picture). The base of that ball is made of turquoise bicone crystals with a very nice frosted effect... too bad the photo doesn't really show how beautiful they are. So thank you Julia for chosing them as a birthday present for me... just like the rest of the beads. ;D

The tutorial for this pendant is available on Craftsy and Etsy.

I have a few more ideas for using the Twins... so you should see more beadwork soon. ;)
